THE dust may have settled in the magnificent Egyptian Hall of the City of London's iconic Mansion House, but the excitement among the winners and nominees at The Digital Commonwealth Annual Industry Awards on Monday night is still buzzing.

More than 160 guests enjoyed a lavish awards gala with exquisite dining and specially-chosen wines to watch the winners of 24 categories announced live on stage.

It was the inaugural awards ceremony hosted by The Digital Commonwealth, and it followed immediately after the sixth Mansion House Summit earlier in the day.

"The very fact that these awards were so well attended and supported, despite being staged during a remarkably busy international schedule is testament to the strength of London and the commitment of our amazing community," said James Bowater, CEO and founder of The Digital Commonwealth.

"I can barely begin to comprehend how difficult the task of the judges must have been in selecting winners from such strong shortlists of nominees, but they really did pick some extremely fine people and companies.
